Import & Export

Bring libraries into your catalog and export them to Pioneer USB drives.

Import adds a source library to your local catalog. Export writes a Pioneer device library, including Device Library and OneLibrary formats, to a destination volume.

Commands below show macOS paths. Replace them with your actual paths: for example, "E:\" in Windows PowerShell or "/media/your-name/DJ" on Linux.

Import a Rekordbox Library

On macOS, Rekordbox.app selects ~/Library/Pioneer/rekordbox:

dc import Rekordbox.app
dc import Rekordbox.app --apply

You can also pass the path to a Rekordbox 6/7 master.db file or its containing directory:

dc import "/path/to/rekordbox/master.db" --apply

Desktop imports reference audio at its original location. Add --copy to copy the audio into managed storage:

dc import Rekordbox.app --copy --apply

Import a USB Library

Connect the drive, then preview and apply the import:

dc import "/Volumes/DJ"
dc import "/Volumes/DJ" --apply

dc detects Device Library and OneLibrary catalogs and imports available audio, playlists, artwork, cues, and analysis. Use --metadata to skip copying audio, or --no-analysis to skip Rekordbox analysis files and cues.

You can also import a .cdb catalog or a directory containing catalog files. Use --db "/path/to/main.cdb" to select a different destination catalog.

Import MP3 Files

Install the analysis runtime, then import and analyze an MP3 file or folder:

dc runtime install
dc import "/path/to/MP3s" --analyze
dc import "/path/to/MP3s" --analyze --apply

Folders are scanned recursively. The preview does not run analysis.

Export to USB

Connect your destination drive and use its mounted path:

dc export "/Volumes/DJ"
dc export "/Volumes/DJ" --apply

With one path, export uses your default catalog. To export a different catalog, give its path first:

dc export "/path/to/main.cdb" "/Volumes/DJ" --apply

Keep the source audio available during export. Safely eject the drive after the command finishes before connecting it to your player.

For a recoverable copy of your library and audio, see Backup & Restore.
